Let's Be Honest....

I SUCK at keeping up with blogs.  But, I have been feeling the pull to start one again.  I guess, mainly, because I haven't been doing update emails anymore now that Jared is older and more active, and I just don't have the time to do it.  So, here is my attempt at starting, and hopefully maintaining a blog for those that wish to keep up with the happening in our lives.

Because I didn't a couple days ago, and I should have, here is a list of the things I am most grateful for right now:

  • Jesus.
  • My amazing husband who reminds me what unconditional love, in the flesh, really means.
  • Jared, his smile lights up my days from morning until he gets cranky night
  • My Goddaughter (and with her, her family), she is beautiful, and I miss her.
  • My family, they support me even from far away and I love that about them.
  • My "family" here in Hawaii.  We have been here too long to not have created a family here, and we have.  They are my rock when I need one and make fun of me to keep me grounded.
  • My friends.  I don't to talk to a lot of them as much as I wish I did, but they are still part of my life.
Okay, now here are the things that aren't all sappy and gooey that I am thankful for:

  • Morning chats with my FBF that often last until the afternoon
  • The mindless games on Facebook that keep me occupied when the quiet gets to be too much
  • My camera, I LOVE it, and I love that I get to take pictures whenever I want to.
  • My cool new phone that let's me check my email, my Facebook, and play games wherever I am.
  • My Kindle, I read too many books to not have one.
  • The chilliness (I say that loosely, because it is 70 degrees) in the morning that makes me sometimes wish I had a sweater.
  • That I was done Christmas shopping almost a month ago.
  • Jared loves to fold laundry and put away the dishes.  He will fold a whole pile of laundry and love every minute of it.  The dishes, well, I still have to help him with it, but I am training him for later.
  • My "guilty pleasure" TV shows.  Don't ask.
